Four Temiscaming entrepreneurs launch Auberge Nouvelle-France

Located in Ville-Marie on the shores of Lake Témiscamingue, Auberge Nouvelle-France offers business and leisure guests a perfect marriage of ancestral villa architecture and contemporary decor. Each of the 7 rooms offers comfort and luxury, and pays tribute to the history and cultural richness of the region. Developed by four Temiscaming entrepreneurs, this new accommodation offering is the result of major restoration work.


Construction of multi-units by Shanny Gauthier

A multi-residential construction project has been initiated for the fall of 2022 in Ville-Marie by Shanny Gauthier, the general contractor and real estate developer behind Construction Gauthier. The $5M project will consist of 3 buildings of 8 units each. With the completion of phase 1, the first 8 rental units, with a surface area of 1,000 sq. ft., were made available on May 1st.


Antonette Pierre-Morton will manage the kitchen at Club de golf de Témiscaming

After running the canteen last hockey season, Antonette Pierre-Morton will manage the kitchen at Club de golf de Témiscaming. Customers can look forward to their favourite menu items from Antonia’s, on top of Caribbean-inspired cuisine and exciting new dishes. Golfers and local customers can place their orders via the online platform and pick up their food at the counter.


Samuel Parent-Baillargeon acquires the restaurant in Moffet

The population of Moffet and its many vacationers are delighted with the reopening of their restaurant. A graduate of the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec, Samuel Parent-Baillargeon, a native of Moffet, opened the doors of La Hutte on March 11. In addition to his quality canteen menu and his specialty poutines and pizzas, the restaurateur offers private events and gourmet dinners.


Zakary Ladouceur starts Excavation Ladou

Zakary Ladouceur goes into business and starts Excavation Ladou. The company located in Notre-Dame-du-Nord offers general and commercial excavation services, brush clearing as well as the transportation of machinery, equipment and merchandise under 30,000 pounds. The service offer covers the entire territory and will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the summer.


Maxim Touzin acquires Émondage Lali

After 15 years of working in the field of arboriculture, Stéphane Laliberté has handed over his business to his son-in-law, Maxim Touzin. Involved in the operations for the past year and equipped with the skills developed within a family of entrepreneurs, it is with confidence that Maxim intends to offer the same quality of professional services that made the success of the company.


Return of the Témiscamingue raid

On February 16th, the promoters of the event announced at a press conference that the Raid Témiscamingue will be back from September 7th to 10th, 2023. The economic spin-offs of this second international sporting event are estimated at more than $15 million in media visibility and $825,000 in direct and indirect expenses for the region.


Frédéric Patoine starts his video production and webcasting company

Témiscamingue now has a new audiovisual production company. In addition to producing corporate videos and content for social media, Frédéric Patoine produces event footage and offers webcasting services. His 20 years of experience, his versatility and his knowledge of the field allow him to offer diversified and professional quality services.


Richard Toupin starts Pièces TRP Ville-Marie

On January 4th, Pièces TRP Ville-Marie opened its doors. Born of a supply problem, the Patriote Garage in Ville-Marie joined forces with the Amos Truck Center to offer a local service for the sale and shipping of parts and accessories for heavy vehicles. The project was implemented by Richard Toupin, owner of Garage Patriote, with the support of his wife, Patsy Ouellette.


Aude Garant starts her chiropractic practice

Newly installed on the territory, Dr. Aude Garant inaugurated her chiropractic clinic in Témiscaming on November 16th. In mid-January, a branch will open its doors in Laverlochère. Dr. Garant offers chiropractic care to the whole family, including children, seniors and athletes, using a preventive and curative approach. In addition, her services are offered in French and English.
