The population of Moffet and its many vacationers are delighted with the reopening of their restaurant. A graduate of the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec, Samuel Parent-Baillargeon, a native of Moffet, opened the doors of La Hutte on March 11. In addition to his quality canteen menu and his specialty poutines and pizzas, the restaurateur offers private events and gourmet dinners.

Zakary Ladouceur goes into business and starts Excavation Ladou. The company located in Notre-Dame-du-Nord offers general and commercial excavation services, brush clearing as well as the transportation of machinery, equipment and merchandise under 30,000 pounds. The service offer covers the entire territory and will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the summer.

Return of the Témiscamingue raid
On February 16th, the promoters of the event announced at a press conference that the Raid Témiscamingue will be back from September 7th to 10th, 2023. The economic spin-offs of this second international sporting event are estimated at more than $15 million in media visibility and $825,000 in direct and indirect expenses for the region.

Richard Toupin starts Pièces TRP Ville-Marie
On January 4th, Pièces TRP Ville-Marie opened its doors. Born of a supply problem, the Patriote Garage in Ville-Marie joined forces with the Amos Truck Center to offer a local service for the sale and shipping of parts and accessories for heavy vehicles. The project was implemented by Richard Toupin, owner of Garage Patriote, with the support of his wife, Patsy Ouellette.
Aude Garant starts her chiropractic practice
Newly installed on the territory, Dr. Aude Garant inaugurated her chiropractic clinic in Témiscaming on November 16th. In mid-January, a branch will open its doors in Laverlochère. Dr. Garant offers chiropractic care to the whole family, including children, seniors and athletes, using a preventive and curative approach. In addition, her services are offered in French and English.

Isabelle Jacques, ambassador for the year 2022
Isabelle Jacques, co-owner of the Voisin Shell Station in Ville-Marie, was named ambassador for the year 2022 among the 150 retailers of the Voisin banner. This distinction was awarded to her on October 27, during the annual meeting of merchants in Laval. Her inspiring leadership and the excellent performance of the business were recognized by her peers.
