The acquisition of this business ensures the continuation of a well-established local service rooted in the community. In addition to offering fuel, the convenience store provides a variety of food and beverages, as well as ready-to-eat meals prepared on-site.

Coiffure Marie-Soleil is a new salon in Témiscaming. Marie-Soleil Durand offers a full range of services, with day and evening availability. She specializes in highlights, sewn-in extensions, keratin extensions and Botox Capillaire. She travels to seniors' residences and throughout the region for weddings, balls and other events.


Marc Lampron starts M Lampron construction

Marc Lampron, a contractor based in Notre-Dame-du-Nord, launches M Lampron Construction. The company offers exclusive installation of Pieux Xtrême-certified galvanized steel screw piles throughout the Temiscamingue region. The contractor also specializes in excavation of all kinds, site preparation for landscaping, and installation of French drains and septic tanks.

In a soothing setting, she offers Swedish, therapeutic and chair massages, promoting well-being and individual healing.

The Raid Témiscamingue 2024: A unifying project with major economic benefits

The 3rd edition of the Raid International Témiscamingue was held from September 5 to 8. This remarkable showcase for adventure tourism is the fruit of the mobilization of 50 companies and organizations, 90 landowners and 150 volunteers. The event generated over $20 million in media exposure and $800,000 in direct and indirect revenue for the region.


Lactalis Canada's Laverlochère plant celebrates its 100th anniversary

Established in Laverlochère by two members of the Lafrenière family, the Lactalis plant celebrated its 100th anniversary on October 2. This milestone event highlights a century of history and the major role the site plays in the Canadian dairy industry. As part of the celebrations, a donation of $10,000 was made to the Club des petits déjeuners at Latulipe and Lorrainville schools.


Île aux Pousses ready-to-eat salads now available year-round

L'île aux Pousses owner Karine Rannou is on a roll. The Duhamel-Ouest-based grower of a wide variety of microgreens is officially launching a line of ready-to-eat salads. This addition to her offering was born of the success of a project initiated in the summer of 2024. Grown in a sustainable manner, micrograin salads are prepared with certified gluten-free and lactose-free ingredients.


Ferme JMA Gauthier: A pioneer in organic dairy production in the region

In 2020, Ferme JMA Gauthier in Lorrainville began its transition to organic management. Co-owner Annick Gauthier is now a pioneer in the region, offering the first certified organic milk. Nearby Le Fromage au Village sells its milk in bottles and processes some of it into cheese. Projects abound for this entrepreneur, who is determined to rise to any challenge.
